Send application to PTC as instructed, not directly to RACC. PTC sends paid test applicants detailed information about test site location for which you registered; RACC does not have this information.

Exams
The CRA examination is given electronically at hundreds of locations throughout the United States and Canada. You may take the examination at any time within one of these 2-week windows:

May 1 - 15, 2010, Application Deadline March 16
December 4 - 18, 2010, Application Deadline October 18

For a copy of the Handbook for Candidates and an application to take the CRA examination go to the website for our testing company, Professional Testing Corporation, http://www.ptcny.com/PTC/Clients.html and scroll to the very bottom of the page where you will can link to the Research Administrators Certification Council examination.
The fee to take the examination is $340.

The purpose of the RACC Body of Knowledge is to familiarize you with the outline of information upon which the certification examination is based. This review will help you determine in which areas you are weak and may need additional study. It is not intended as an examination preparation course, nor will it give you strategies or sample test items to familiarize you with what to expect when you take the examination.

Instead, we suggest that you form study groups, read the literature in the links from the Body of Knowledge, and concentrate on the areas which the review session uncovered to be your weakest.

RACC reserves the right to cancel a review session if fewer than 15 register by 3 weeks ahead of the date of the review session.

All registrations must be paid in full by 7 days before the date of the session in order for us to hold space in the session. Notification of a change or cancellation of a registration will be refunded with retention of a $25 administrative fee; if the notification of cancellation is fewer than 72 hours prior to the date of the session there will be a $75 administrative charge retained.
